In this first episode of ConceptFour I speak to Stefano Fasce who’s life journey into film composing was almost inevitable, thanks to the passion for music first instilled in him at an early age through his family. Stefano spoke openly about understanding where you are on your journey, as well as the importance of having people close to you that can help you grow along they way.
Stefano is a London-based composer, passionate about writing music that tells a story. He is particularly skilled at composing memorable melodies and writing for flute and strings. Stefano holds an MA in Composing for Film & TV from the National Film & Television School in the UK, widely considered to be one of the top film schools in the world. He is an accomplished flautist and has a Specialist Certificate in Orchestration for Film & TV from Berklee College of Music where he was awarded a Celebrity Online Scholarship.
Stefano has had many of his works recorded at the renowned Angel Studios in London. His piece “9 May 1950”, a trio for violin, piano and flute, won first prize in the competition, EUPlay, resulting in a performance of his piece in Brussels. In April 2018, Stefano won 3rd prize at the International Animated Film Music Competition. In 2019, Stefano was selected as h Club London's Music Emerging Creative. The programme will provide coaching, mentoring and support as he develops his debut album during 2019/20. He was also selected for BFI Network x BAFTA Crew, a year-long talent development programme. Other than music, Stefano enjoys hiking, climbing and, of course, films.
